WILTSHIRE'S WEPL Premier sides - Potterne and Chippenham - both picked up victories last weekend courtesy of strong bowling performances.
Chippenham responded to defeat by Potterne with a 64-run win over Taunton Deane at Hardenhuish Park.
Azeem Ghumman (74) and Luke Charlesworth (64) helped the hosts to 278-6 off their 50 overs before Charlesworth and opening bowling partner Charlie Slade (pictured) set about restricting the visitors.
Slade picked up 3-47 while Charlesworth recorded strong figures of 3-40 as Taunton Deane slumped to 214 all out.
Meanwhile, Potterne remain second in the table following a 119-run victory at home to Thornbury.
Set up by a wonderful 106 from opener Jake Goodwin and 61 from 37 courtesy of David Bromley, Potterne stormed to 389-8 on their own ground.
While a couple of Taunton batsmen passed 50, three wickets apiece for Tahir Afridi and Basil Akram helped Potterne bowl their visitors out for 270 in the 44th over.
In WEPL Premier Two Gloucestershire-Wiltshire, Warminster picked up the club's first win of the season by four wickets against Marshfield.
Openers Elijah Samuel (61) and partner Kadeem Henry (77) navigated Marshfield to 129 before the first wicket went down.
From there, only Jeremy Bond (53) passed 50 as Warminster restricted their hosts to 266-8 with Sam Pearce taking an outstanding 6-57.
In reply, Warminster's top three made 15 between them and had to be rescued by a stunning 141 not out from Gareth Schreuder.
Pearce continued his excellent afternoon with a supremely helpful 51, and Warminster made their target with 15 balls to spare.
Elsewhere in the division, Goatacre tasted success as Gloucestershire's Benny Howell struck 164 not out to see them home against Stroud by two wickets.
Corsham lost by three wickets at home to Corse & Staunton despite Thomas Hankins scoring 79 with the bat and taking 5-55 with the ball.
Burbage & Easton Royal cruised past Cheltenham by 110 runs thanks to a sublime 133 from 137 balls by opener George Worker and 4-26 from Adam Lavis.
In WEPL Wiltshire, Royal Wootton Bassett are now top with seven wins from seven thanks to a comfortable 145-run win at home to Corsham Seconds.
Hinton Charterhouse beat Trowbridge by 29 runs, while Potterne Seconds took the spoils over Devizes by 65 runs, and Biddestone won by 124 runs against Westbury & District.
