WILTSHIRE'S eventing hopefuls passed the first horse inspection at Greenwich Park today, ahead of the start of the team and individual events tomorrow.

While Great Britain's Olympic eventing horses all passed the first horse inspection at Greenwich Park, Flying Finish and Bendigo, the mounts of Little Cheverell-based Australian competitors Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks both came through.

Badbury's Andrew Hoy (Rutherglen) and Marston-based Brazilian Marcelo Tosi (Eleda All Black) were also presented for inspection, along with Marlborough-based New Zealander Andrew Nicholson's horse Avebury and Flintstar, ridden by compatriot Jonelle Richards, who is based in Mildenhall.

Team GB's William Fox-Pitt's Lionheart, the Mary King-ridden Imperial Cavalier, Zara Phillips' High Kingdom, Nicola Wilson's Opposition Buzz and Tina Cook's Miners Frolic were also among 75 horses presented for inspection.

A total of 71 passed immediately, but four were sent to the holding box before passing on re-inspection.

That quartet included French rider Aurelien Khan's horse Cadiz and Kilrodan Abbott, the mount of Canadian Peter Barry.

The eventing competition starts tomorrow morning with dressage.
