IT IS EXCITING times at the moment and I’m pleased that we’ve still got something to play for at this stage of the season.
There’s no better place to be than in the mix at this time because it keeps everything alive, it keeps everything vibrant and it keeps everything buzzing.
Obviously now, the players want it and they’ve always wanted it.
I was slightly disappointed with Tuesday’s result because it was a game that we wanted to try and win.
I think that they (Leamington) were happy to come for a point and on a difficult pitch, there wasn’t much football played.
The two or three times we did get it down and play, we created some good chances but the referee didn’t help matters.
He made the game very bitty and stop-start – he was pulling everybody up for every single challenge and we couldn’t get a flow to the game.
I still thought we defended magnificently and on another night, things could have been different.
We’ll carry on with what we’ve got and hopefully we can keep the run going with three points at Saturday.
If you look at Chesham, they’ve been one of the most consistent sides all season.
They’ve done exceptionally well so we know to expect a tough game - we were on an unbeaten run when we went there and we came unstuck because we were poor on the day and they were very good.
Rudgie’s picked up his 10th booking now so he’ll be missing in a couple of weeks’ time.
Matteo King has been training for a few weeks and he’s signed on to add another body to the squad.
Lee Smith’s loan was done month-to-month but (Forest Green) have recalled him so we have to respect their wishes.
