CHIPPENHAM suffered their sixth defeat of the season as they went down by two wickets at Warminster on Saturday.
Paul Bates’ side won the toss and chose to take to the crease first, with Tom Young hitting 66.
Richard Bates wasn’t far behind as he made 59 while Paul Clifford added 47 and the Chippenham skipper hit an unbeaten 42.
Warminster’s John Powell took two wickets while Harry Medhurst, Chris Knight, Sean Adams and Mark Coxon-Tenty all took one, with Chippenham finishing on 245-7.
Tom Davie led the run-chase for Carl Clarke’s men as he top-scored for his side with 76.
Medhurst also reached the half-century mark with 50 while Richie Underdown added 31.
Chippenham’s Craig Fry claimed three Warminster wickets, while Robert Woodman took two, but Knight and Andy Fellows pushed Clarke’s side over the line with an unbeaten partnership of 23, reaching 246-8 with just a single over to spare.
Chippenham host Cheltenham this weekend while Warminster are at home to Ilminster.
