DEVIZES picked up their third win in four games on Saturday as they claimed an 86-run victory over bottom side Purton.
Jon Couch’s side won the toss and chose to bat first, with opener James Langan hitting 62.
Alex Penny hit an unbeaten 52 while Tom Shaw chipped in with 29.
Purton’s Joe Dunn and Dale Bowler both claimed two wickets each, but Couch’s side finished on 211-7.
Malcolm Samsun top-scored for the visitors with 26 while Mark Gardner made 25.
However, their efforts were in vain as the Devizes bowlers were on target, with Ben McGowen and skipper Couch both claiming three wickets apiece.
Owen Burgess and tom Grant also took two each as Purton were skittled for 125 in 44 overs.
Sixth-placed Devizes’ next game is another home clash against third-placed Winsley, who thrashed them by 109 runs in June, this weekend.
