WOOTTON Bassett slipped back into losing ways on Saturday as they were beaten at Rockhampton.
Mark Vincent’s side ended a six-match losing run against Hatherley & Reddings last week but went down by 129 runs in Gloucestershire.
Bassett won the toss and bowled first but couldn’t prevent Michael Barton and William Tyler making 85 and 74 respectively.
Irfhan Sahar took two wickets but Rockhampton’s Matt Tyler added 35 as the hosts finished on 272-7.
Neil Twine top-scored for Vincent’s side with 32 while opener Jaggy Chalal hit 28.
Sam Lawro added 23 but the Rockhampton bowlers were on target.
James Hancox took three for 22 while Jack Spence and William Cartlidge claimed two each, as the visitors were skittled for 143 in the 47th over.
Bottom-club Bassett face Potterne this weekend.
