Chippenham Town suffered thier second loss of pre-season on Tuesday night as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Corsham Town.
The Bluebirds fielded an experimental line-up, predominantly featuring triallists, but three second-half goals won the game for Mel Gingell's side.
After Kris Beasley's header brought a good save out of Kent Kauppinen in the Chippenham goal early on, Corsham's Mark Billingsley produced a fantastic close range save to deny Sam Duggan.
Early in the second-half, the home side were awarded a free-kick after Simon Gray suffered a blow to the head on the edge of the area.
Half-time substitute and former Melksham Town manager Wayne Thorne produced a low shot from the set-piece, which whistled under the wall and into the net to give Gingell's men the lead.
Corsham doubled their lead on 63 minutes, when Jason Bates' shot was headed off the line by Tom Berrington.
The clearance fell to the feet of midfieder Ben Moore, who produced a looping effort into the far corner of the net.
Midway through the half, Sam Allison jinked through the Corsham defence before cutting the ball back to Craig Mullens in the area but a last-ditch effort denied the striker a clear chance at goal.
Gingell's side wrapped up the game in the 75th minute when Thorne played a pass into the path of Bates.
Kauppinen came out of his goal to make a close-range block, but the ball rebounded to substitute Darren Moss, who slotted the ball into the unguarded net.
Chippenham's next game is winger Allison's testimonial match, at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, while Corsham host Trowbridge Town this Thursday evening.
