GREAT Bedwyn suffered their fifth loss of the season as they slipped to a 56-run defeat at the hands of Winsley on Saturday.
The hosts won the toss and chose to bat, with number three Josh Rurawhe leading the way as he hit 76.
Rob Murphy and Kevin Hendy were closest behind with 23 and 20 respectively, but the Great Bedwyn bowlers were in good form.
Carl Lay and Rhys Miles claimed four wickets each as Winsley were all out for 183 in the 45th over.
Opener Chris Blundy hit 46 in reply for the visitors but Alan Turnell and Max Andrews were then only other Great Bedwyn batsmen to reach double figures with 18 and 14.
Winsley’s Andrew Swinburne took four wickets while Rurawhe claimed three as George Stone’s side were skittled for just 127 in 39 overs.
