GOATACRE’S title bid could come down to a winner-takes-all clash at leaders Lechlade on August 7 after their ninth victory of the season.
Lechlade maintained their summit position with a narrow victory over third-placed Winsley, whose title chances may have been ended by a third defeat of the campaign.
But their lead on averages is paper-thin as Goatacre maintained their superb form with an 80-run triumph.
The visitors’ rattled up 254-6, an innings built around a superb unbeaten knock of 109 by middle-order man Ed Wilkins.
Able support was provided by Jack Haines (42) and Luke Edwards (41), Carl Lay’s 2-29 being the pick of the Bedwyn bowling.
Bradley Dawson stole the show from Hampshire brother Liam, taking 5-61 as Bedwyn never troubled the target in reply.
Jason Searle did most of the rest of the damage with 4-41, Bedwyn’s Chris Blundey and Lewis Robinson not able to build on scores of 34 and 39 respectively.
