DAVID Ball has put pen to paper on a six-month loan deal at Swindon Town.
The Manchester City youngster has been training with his new teammates this week, and will be part of the squad that travels to Austria for Town's pre-season tour.
The 20-year old said: "I'm very happy to have come down here, it's obviously a club on the up and I'm confident we can do well this season.
"I watched a few of the games last season, including the play-off final, and I really want to help Swindon go one better this year and get promotion.
"The likes of Danny Ward and Stephen Darby came down here last year and did really well, so that made my mind up to come down really, because if those lads can come down from Premiership teams and do well, I'm sure I can as well."
meanwhile Gordon Greer completed his switch to League One rivals Brighton this morning.
The defender passed his medical with the south coast club earlier today and put pen to paper on a three-year-deal at the Withdean Stadium.
Swindon agreed an initial £250,000 fee with Brighton for their captain on Friday night before Greer travelled down to Sussex to go through the formalities yesterday.
The 29-year-old is expected to feature for his new employers in tonight's pre-season friendly against Whitehawk.
