At home on the Rec saw Benger beat Warminster convincingly, although Warminster started well winning the 1st scrum, Benger hacked on only to loose their footing and Warminster cleared the ball well down towards the ten metre line for a line out which Benger won convincingly.
Warminster were pressurising Benger, when the Benger captain Chris Roe made a good tackle and got the ball out to Tom Watchman.
After some good rucking by Benger they forced a knock on by Warminster which led to a try by Stuart Hedges, but the conversion was missed by Benger.
After the re-start there was some good rucking by Warminster and they were unlucky to be caught out by a foot in touch, otherwise they would have been clear and gone.
Another penalty was given in favour of Benger by the ref near to the Warminster touch, which ended in a try for Matt Johns, again the conversion was missed thanks to the upright During some very tight play, despite some loose passes Benger went on to score another try courtesy of Matty Ray with Jason Blackmore converting.
There could have been another try for Benger shortly afterwards after run by Chris Roe, but again some band hands resulted in lost possession.
At the start of the second half the ref penalised Benger for feeding at the scrum and gave the free kick to Warminster.
With Benger’s tails up they began to play more fluid rugby and a good move out the wing and a good run by the winger Daniel Roe almost led to Benger scoring another try if it had not been for some excellent tackling by Warminster.
Warminster started to come back at Benger and scored a good try, but Benger were not giving up and spoiled well at the line out.
After making some good runs through the middle the Benger captain was taken off with a hamstring injury, and Warminster took advantage with an interception leading to a try, but missed the conversion.
Benger went on to score two more tries in relative quick succession, unfortunately both the conversions were missed.
Warminster should have scored another try if it had not been for a try saving tackle made by Tom Watchman.
