PACE ace Naeem Khan picked up his 50th wicket of the season on Saturday as his five-for inspired Biddestone to a final day victory.

Having been asked to field first, the opening bowler was typically accurate from ball one and finished with figures of 5-40 from his 15 overs.

Promoted to number three in the batting order, Khan only managed ten runs but ends the season with 50 wickets at an average of 11.26 and is the most prolific bowler in the Glos/Wilts Division.

Opening batsmen Tom Mitchell and Tom Needham were the other catalysts for the side’s victory on Saturday as the pair put on a 125 run opening stand.

A quick flurry of wickets nearly de-railed their momentum but overseas star Nishanta Bordoloi and captain Dwaine Perry finished the job.

Biddestone finished second in the Glos/Wilts Division.
