Chippenham Town turned in a stunning six-star performance to storm to the top of the Southern Premier League with victory over Hemel Hempstead Town.
Kick off was delayed by 20 minutes due to the visitor's late arrival and they looked all at sea when debutant Jon Davies stormed through the middle of the park to open the scoring in the first half.
Defender Shaun Lamb made it two after clever interplay with Luke Gullick and added his second, and the team's third, with a fiercely-struck 35 yard free kick near the end of the first period.
Captain Ross Adams made it four after the break with a true striker's finish after staying upfield from a corner, while Lewis Powell scored his first of the night with a free header from a corner.
Hemel Hempstead did pull one back after going five behind and had a lucky escape when Powell missed a penalty, following a challenge on Ashley Williams.
The Welshman soon made amends though with a tight finish from an acute angle after substitute Shaun Benison beat two defenders with clever close-control.
