One of the longest serving sides in the Robson Taylor, Chippenham Sunday League have been for to call it a day due to a shortage of players.
John Dalley, affectionately known as Mr Rowde who as been at the club for most their time in the league was devastated at having to make the decision to withdraw the side from the league, but he was left with no other alternative after Ray Clements who had said he would help run the side this term left to join another Devizes based side AFC Bell and in doing so a few more players followed him which left the villagers with just nine players.
Despite the best efforts of Dalley to bring new players to the side he had to give it up as a lost cause and with Rowde going it means that their will now be 11 teams battling it out for the silverware.
