FULL TIME: CHIPPENHAM TOWN 2, NUNEATON TOWN 1

FULL TIME: What a start to the season for Chippenham. A goal in the first and last minute from their two new strikers. They rode their luck at times, especially in the first half, but their work rate could not be questioned. Great result against a side who will be going for promotion this year.

90 Mins: They‘ve nicked it at the death! Super sub Shaun Benison! Bassett again had a great shot which Acton could only palm into the path of Benison who made no mistake. Can they hold on?

GOAL, 90 MINS, SHAUN BENISON, CHIPPENHAM TOWN

88 Mins: Oh Nuneaton should have scored! Armson had a free header five yards out but headed over. Good work from the right back Oddy, who has been excellent all afternoon. Attendance of 530 here today. Paul Spacey on for Marsden.

85 Mins: Benison is on for Powell. One final throw of the dice.

80 Mins: Ten minutes to go. Lewis Powell has run himself into the ground today and is visibly tiring. Lamb‘s cross is just palmed over by Acton after a deflection sent it goal-bound. Corner comes to nothing.

77 Mins: Double sub for Nuneaton. Murphy and Armson on for Dillon and Matthews. Clough is growing into the game for Chippenham now that Martin's substitution has freed up space in the middle of the park. They look much more dangerous with Bassett on the wing.

75 Mins: Good work from Charlie Clough sees the ball fall to Kyle Bassett, who shoots from 20 yards and his shot is just palmed away. Good effort. This game is there for either side to take now. Good save from Snoddy at the other end.

72 Mins: The ball dangerously bobbles around the Chippenham area but Snoddy clears the danger.

69 Mins: Guy Hadland booked for a foul from behind on Lewis Powell. Shoving match between Storer and Lamb. Bassett is on for Martin. Could this change the game? He ha looked their best player in pre-season.

62 Mins: Game has picked up now. Lamb plays in Powell who gets past the defender but drags his shot wide. Chippenham‘s tactics are evident. Immediately look for Powell and Highmore‘s run and play the ball into space for them to run onto. Adams is down with a head injury and receives treatment from Scott Garraway.

61 Mins: Clough gives the ball away in his own area but the shot is easily saved by Snoddy. Another let off.

59 Mins: Finally a chance for Chippenham. Lamb floats a ball into the back post where Williams wins the header and Lye shoots just wide of the top corner.

57 Mins: Quiet start to the half but it is again the visitors who have had just the better of it. Jason Wood warming up for Chippenham.

51 Mins: Lamb and Williams are playing a slightly more advanced role this half but they are no substitute for actual wingers. No subs warming up though.

47 Mins: 45 seconds into the half and no goal yet. Disappointing. Robert Hobbs is here in the crowd watching. He was expected to at least be on the bench today but his attendance shows he is still in the plans it seems.

46 Mins: We‘re back with no changes for either side.

HALF TIME: The sides go in level but it is Nuneaton who have had the better of it for 44 and a half minutes. Chippenham are too narrow with Lamb and Williams caught between defence and attack too often. Ben Highmore is looking lively, and took his goal well, which Scott Lye is typically dynamic in the middle. There are three wingers and a forward on the bench and at least one of them presumably Kyle Bassett, must be close to an introduction. Nuneaton are admittedly very strong and on this form will be a match for most sides. Marsden looks like he has the potential to be one of the most skilful players in the division.

39 Mins: Another Nuneaton corner fails to beat the first man, with Scott Lye this time heading away. At the other end, a rare Chippenham attack as Tindle plays in Highmore, who holds the ball up intelligently, before Clough plays in Williams whose cross is saved. Good football.

36 Mins: Chippenham look off the pace in various areas now with a couple of players seemingly struggling for fitness compared to their opponents. Justin Marsden is very impressive for Nuneaton.

31 Mins: Calamity moment as Oddy beats Lamb for pace down the right hand side, puts a low ball in which eludes Casey, Snoddy and striker Chris Dillon. Lucky escape for the Bluebirds.

28 Mins: Good battling from Ashley Williams wins a free kick just inside the Nuneaton half, but it comes to nothing. Three nervous moments in a row for Greg Tindle who mis-controls the ball with his both feet and his head in quick succession, but otherwise a solid debut for the former Melksham Town man.

23 Mins: A shot goes low and just wide form Justin Marsden.

19 Mins: An equaliser and an early contender for goal of the season as well. Needless mistake by Clough gave the ball to right back Oddy who looked up, from 35 yards at least, and perfectly chipped Snoddy, sending the ball into the top corner. It has been coming and what a goal it was.

GOAL, 19 MINS, ROB ODDY, NUNEATON TOWN

15 Mins: Another corner for Nuneaton, which Tindle again deals with. Scott Lye is the best player in a blue shirt so far with Highmore a constant outlet for him up top.

12 Mins: Still all Nuneaton here, and the visitors have had a succession of corners but Casey and Tindle are winning the aerial battles.

7 Mins: great tip-over from Snoddy to keep Chippenham in it. Chris Dillon got in behind Tindle and there was nothing wrong with his shot, but the keeper was better than it. Good game so far.

5 Mins: Five minutes in and time to catch your breath at last. Nuneaton have reacted well to the goal and are passing the ball with good composure. Chippenham have four central midfielders on the pitch so it looks as though this game will be won and lost in the middle of the park.

1 Mins: What a start to the season here! Ben Highmore scores after 30 seconds for the hoe side. Charlie Clough, on debut, headed a ball through, which skimmed the head of Kyle Storer and into the path of Highmore. The former Larkhall Athletic man showed his finishing prowess with a delicate chip over Darren Acton and into the net.

GOAL, 1 MINS, BEN HIGHMORE, CHIPPENHAM TOWN

Chippenham Town: Snoddy, Adams, Lamb, Willianms, Casey, Tindle, Lye, Clough, Powell. Highmore, Martin.
Subs: Benison, Thomson, Bassett, Gardner, Wood.

Ref: Mark Pottage.
