Goatacre 3 v Biddestone 4, Wiltshire Division 6
Biddestone lost the toss and were put into bat on a very slow wicket.
Runs were very hard to come by and after 17 over’s were 40 for 5.
A low score was on the cards until Phil Knight joined Tom Sorsby at the crease, they put on a 7 wicket partnership of 78, with Phil scoring 31 and Tom his maiden half century on his way to 59. The innings finished 147 all out, something for the bowlers to bowl at.
Alex Horn took 2 quick wickets in his first game of the season, then Phil Knight not wanting to stay out of the limelight rattled through the Goatacre middle order finishing 9 over’s 5 for 27 as Goatacre were bowled out for 81.
