Wiltshire League Division 3: Biddestone 3rd v Beehive Bradford

Biddestone 3rds slumped to a disappointing defeat against Beehive Bradford.

Bradford were asked to bat first and were thankful to Spong (68) giving them a good start.

However, Biddestone's bowlers dragged their side back in to the game before some useful contributions from the Bradford lower order saw their innings close on 189 all out.

Jon Mason took 5-45, and Craig Pepper took 4wickets, but the pick of the bowlers was Chris Casey who was very unlucky not to take a wicket, his 12 overs costing just 19 runs.

In reply, Biddestone's batsmen seemed determined to throw their wickets away as all of the top 7 got starts before getting out. Dave Kilmurray top scored with 25, and Matt Unwin (21), Phil Boore (23) , Steve Morley (19) and Mason (16) all chipped in but no-one could stay in to make the match-winning contribution.

Collins and Day both took 4 wickets for Beehive as Biddestone were dismissed for 137.
