Former Wales and British Lions flyhalf Barry John was the speaker and guest of honour at Minety RFC's annual dinner on Friday.
He presented the cups and awards and entertained the club's members and guests with his humorous tales of a life spent playing and watching rugby at the highest level.
Among other honoured guests at the dinner was former Scotland captain Mike Biggar, who is a vice-president of Minety Rugby Club.
Minety were celebrating a very successful season that saw their first team come ninth and retain their place in Southern Counties South, while their second XV, affectionately known as The Dreamers, secured promotion by coming top in Dorset and Wilts Division 3 North.
As well as handing the winners' shield for Dorset and Wilts Division 3 North to second XV captain Steve Murray, Barry John also presented the following club awards:
Player of the Year: Jack Ward
Young Player of the Year: James Stuart
Most Improved Player: Wes Clamp
Captain's Cup: Steve Murray
Players' Cup: Jack Ward
Chairman's Cup: Andy Ward
Former captain and president Keith Hodgson was made a Life Member of the club and a Life Member's tie was awarded to existing Life Member John Butler.
