The FA Cup took the headlines over the weekend, but many League Two sides took part in the competition alongside other news throughout the fourth division.
From signings to cupsets, what happened over the past week?
AFC Wimbledon rocked by Dagenham and Redbridge
National League side Dagenham secured a ticket to the third round of the FA Cup after producing a traditional upset against Wimbledon.
Referee Craig Hicks was injured early in the half and disrupted the Don’s momentum which led to Junior Morias' low driven shot smashing the post but it still found it’s way into the back of the net.
Matty Stevens got the equaliser in the 8th minute of first-half stoppage time, as he managed to bring the ball down and tap it past the goalkeeper but replays revealed that he was offside.
After a controversial goal, a corner was bundled in by substitute Josh Rees after a calamitous game of pinball in the box to secure Dagenham's entry into the third round for the first time since 2015.
Dream FA Cup ties for numerous League Two teams
The draw for the third round was a delightful viewing for many fourth division teams as they got games against top sides.
Salford City wanted Manchester United but there will be no complaints as they will travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Accrington Stanley will make the short trip to Anfield and Morecambe are another side who will be playing in a grand arena, as they go to the capital to take on Chelsea.
Harrogate will go to Leeds and Bromley will also go to Newcastle in which was the ideal tie for manager Andy Woodman.
Harrogate sign former Swindon forward
The North Yorkshire side have signed free agent Admiral Muskwe on a short-term deal. He was released from Luton in the summer but had previous loan spells at Swindon, Fleetwood and Exeter.
Whilst it’s been confirmed as a short contract, the exact length has not been disclosed.
Young Grimsby talent signs new deal
19-year-old striker Cameron Gardner has signed a new deal for Grimsby Town until the end of the 2027-2028 season.
He scored his first senior goal in a 3-2 win against Chesterfield in the EFL Trophy in November.
He’s made 15 appearances in all competitions this season and made his debut last September, aged 17.
Stanley assistant banned and fined
Accrington Stanley assistant manager Ged Brannan has been fined £250 and given a one-match touchline ban.
He admitted to acting in an improper manner in which he used abusive and insulting words towards a match official after the full-time whistle in their 2-2 draw against Wimbledon.
