After a heartbreaking penalty defeat on Saturday, Swindon Town are back in action as they travel to Colchester United.
The teams met in early November for an FA Cup clash and will lock horns again as the Robins can climb out of the relegation zone with a point in Essex.
With players most likely feeling worn-out after 120 minutes of football in Lancashire, it could make an interesting selection.
So, how could Town set up?
Goalkeeper: Jack Bycroft
After a comfortable performance on the weekend, the former Southampton keeper should keep his place in the team. There isn’t any need for change at the moment and I think Ollie will go with Bycroft.
Defence: Ryan Delaney, Harrison Minturn, Will Wright
A similar defence to the one that started against Accrington but Grant Hall is replaced with Minturn. Hall hasn’t been back in the side for long and is now 33, so starting him after 90 minutes on Saturday doesn’t seem likely. There aren’t enough numbers in the squad to make large changes with the back three but Delaney should have the ability to start after being replaced early in extra-time and whilst Wright will be exhausted, he has to go into the starting 11.
Wing-backs: George Cox and Joel McGregor
Cox played 90 on the weekend and should be able to start whilst Tunmise Sobowale has been dropped for McGregor. Sobowale was the best player on the pitch in the cup clash but played the whole 120 and worked hard for every minute so I doubt he’ll start – but McGregor is a good replacement.
Midfield: Gavin Kilkenny and Joel Cotterill
I feel for Kilkenny if he starts after a hardworking performance on the weekend in which he played the whole tie, but you can’t drop him. I personally don’t think we’d be able to cope without him and that Holloway will take the risk. After Danny Butterworth saw red, Cotterill took his spot and did great. He scored an excellent goal and had a solid game so he deserves to start alongside Kilkenny.
Forwards: Kabongo Tshimanga, Harry Smith, Paul Glatzel
Another area of the pitch that is almost unchanged. Glatzel comes in for Aaron Drinan as there is a good chance he won’t be able to start after running for the whole 120 minutes against Stanley. Smith starts for obvious reasons and Tshimanga is the only other senior striker so he will have a platform to show what he can do.
