Former Swindon Town defender Romoney Crichlow has moved to National League side Dagenham and Redbridge on loan from Peterborough United.

Crichlow spent six months on loan at Swindon during the 2021/22 season and made up a big part of Ben Garner’s defensive unit in the side that would go on to make the playoffs.

The defender was one of an exciting crop of loan players along with Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Tyreece Simpson who performed so well with Town that they were recalled by their parent clubs in January, with the now-25-year-old joining Plymouth Argyle for the second half of that campaign.

Following his spell at Home Park, Crichlow became a fan favourite on loan at Bradford City as they made the League Two playoffs before being snapped up by Peterborough when his contract expired at Huddersfield Town.

A slightly disappointing first season at London Road saw him only make 22 League One appearances and with a year remaining on his contract, he was made available this summer, with Bradford among the interested clubs, although Darragh MacAnthony said they were well short of his demands.

With the EFL window closed, Crichlow has joined The Daggers on a temporary deal until January.
