The ACU British Motorcross Championships that was set to descend on Foxhill this weekend has been postponed four days out.

The former Grand Prix circuit near Swindon was set to play host to the latest round of the championships on Sunday, July 14, however, the event has now been postponed due to a lack of driver entries.

The championships were set to enter their fifth round after the last race at Blaxhall Circuit in June, which had the MX1 class seeing a tight tussle at the top as the pick of the many exciting races which were set to be part of the schedule.

But fans of the series will have to wait to see Jeffrey Herlings and Conrad Mewse continue to duke it out for the series as the event will not take place this weekend following an announcement by the organisers.

Sunday will also see England take on Spain in the final of the UEFA European Championship and it is believed that this has played a role in the lower number of driver entries.

It is not yet known when the event will be rescheduled, with the series continuing leading up to its climax at Preston Docks in September.
