Royal Wootton Bassett RFC have been named by England Rugby as one of their Grassroots Teams of the Month for February.
Bassett scored 145 points as they won all three games that they played during the month as they stormed away in the league that they formally wrapped up against Chippenham last weekend.
As they continued their sterling season in Regional 2 Tribute Severn of South West Division, in which they have lost just once, Bassett defeated Trowbridge, Chosen Hill Former Pupils, and Keynsham during February to earn recognition from England Rugby.
RWB RFC Director of Rugby, Alan Low said: "I'm immensely proud of our entire team, and all credit goes to the players across the entire senior section.
“February started with a number of injuries to 1st XV regulars, so to pick up the award this month shows the strength in depth we have as a club.
“This season, the attitude of our players has been exceptional, and the commitment to reach the goals we set over the summer has resulted in some outstanding performances.
“Every week as a coaching group we are looking for small improvements and we know there is a lot more to come from this young group. That is the most exciting thing.”
