James Bittner has re-joined Chippenham Town on loan for a month and can't wait to get started.
The goalkeeper has moved from Salisbury City as regular stopper Chris Snoddy battles a hip injury and is expected to play in the Southern League Premier Division game at Rugby Town tonight.
He said: "I've been out for nine weeks with a broken finger and I am looking forward to playing some games because I haven't done since pre-season.
"It is a good level of football and they are one of the better sides in the league so it is good to be back.
"There are some big games coming up, starting tonight, with Hemel on Saturday and then a few local derbies."
Bittner, who doesn't expect to feature in the FA Trophy game at Bromley this month, left Hardenhuish Park in 2003 and joined Exeter, but when a routine shoulder operation went wrong his career was put on hold.
He then had spells with Torquay and signed for Woking in January.
There were rumours he was set to join the Bluebirds in the summer but instead signed a deal with Blue Square Premier outfit Salisbury.
