Rugby: Facing heavier opposition, Minety seconds struggled for possession but ran in three good tries to win.
The first was launched by Miles Murphy who made good ground before flicking the ball to Andrew Hibbard, who rampaged on to score.
Wesley was next to touchdown, taking ball on the 22, passing it and then received it straight back.
Gareth Dyer kicked a conversion and a penalty to make it 0-15 at the break.
Minetys second-half try arose from a break by Andrew Cook. He fed the ball to Dyer, who slipped a neat pass to Kai Engiel who scored.
Wootton Bassett carved out a late try from a series of rucks but three consecutive tackles by Sean Richards prevented them from scoring again.
This Saturday, Minety seconds entertain Calne seconds.
