Football: Pewsey Vale's Jekyll and Hyde season continued with this home defeat against Launton Sports.
Pewsey had the best of the first half chances,Ryan Banks shot over on the 12 minutes,then on 18 minutes a superb turn by Harry Hambridge,left the defender standing,but finnished poorly,hitting the side netting.
A good cross by Tom Ritchie,and a good nod on by Adam Field saw Craig Wall ,also hit the side net.
Vale keeper had to make a great save,after the young defender Liam Edmonson,made a mistake,leaving Launton's Lee Blossom,with a one on one with the keeper.
Launton went into the lead on the half hour,with a free kick for a foul conceeded by Ritchie,the low powerfull kick was met by Gary Lawton at the near post.
Christian Jones was denied by Thompson,then on the stroke of half time Pewsey's Wall pass to Scott Ward,was saved by the visitor's keeper Danny Clifford.
The second half was a very scrappy affair,with petty fouls coming into the match, what chances there were, was broken down by both side's defence's.
The vale tried to get back in the game,and with four minutes left on the clock Banks set up Ward,but his shot flashed past the post,and Launton held on to their 1-0 advantage to win the points.
