Biddestone get the better of FC Libby in Chippenham & District Sunday League's WG Parr Trophy

Libby were much improved from the previous meeting and actually led twice through goals from Ashley Barnett – who also missed a penalty – and Charlie Jones before losing 3-2.

Ryan Armstrong, George Garraway and Shaun Paradise scored for Biddestone.

Sutton Benger and Old Road look set to make the last four of the competition after their first-round first-leg victories over London Road and Steeple Ashton respectively.

Old Road take a slender lead into their second-leg clash with Steeple Ashton after a 3-2 success.

Goals from Ollie Nash and Billy Wilkins-Pratt had given Ashton a 2-1 interval lead but Sam Van Weenan, Jake O'Keeffe and Louis Hoof fired Old Road to victory.

Sutton Benger take a hefty cushion into their second leg against London Road Inn after a 3-0 win thanks to Jason Cole’s brace and one from Carl Johnson.

Premier Division

BATH Road, who started the day bottom of the table, went into their game with title hopefuls Box Rovers hoping to transfer their recent good cup form to the league. However, despite a brave effort, they suffered a 4-2 loss.

Ashley Alchin and a couple for Darrin Moss put Box on top before efforts from Road duo Ryan Jones and Nick Mills made things interesting. Adam Mitchell sealed the win for Rovers late on.

Title favourites FC Lacock did what was expected of them when they hosted injury-ravaged Faded as they claimed a 5-0 success.

Josh Bright (2), Kieron Gleed, Mark Dolman and Patrick Kapelka shared the goals.

After regaining top spot in the division last weekend, Semington remained at the summit following a 3-1 triumph over FC North Wiltshire.

Robbie Burton gave North Wilts a first-half lead which was cancelled out by Ollie Dew’s double before Lee Stripe added a third to seal the win.

Bromham suffered a 4-1 defeat to Worton & Cheverall – a result that keeps the winners second in the table.

Ben House opened the scoring for Worton and Jake Walters added the next two – his first being a 35-yard stunner. Pete Huntley missed a penalty before Ashley Huntley netted the fourth. Ed Summers replied for Bromham.

Division One

IT was first verses fourth as leaders New Inn Wacker hosted Westbury Railway, and the former remain top of the pile thanks to a 4-1 success.

The Railwaymen led at the break through a Steve Jackson goal but were undone in the second period by a brace from Brentley Roberts and one each for Steve Badger and Emilio Menghini.

North Star Club held on to third place following a 8-4 defeat of Kingfisher, who remain just above the drop zone.

Sean McPhillips top scored for North Star with four, Ben Tylee bagged a couple, while Ben Soloman and Aaron Clegg also got on the scoresheet. Kingfisher's goals came from Chris Cox (2), Josh Griffiths and Will Stone.

Division Two

LEADERS Royal Oak followed up last week’s victory over FC Devizes United with a 3-1 triumph over the same opponents to surge clear of their rivals at the top of the table.

Richard Tandy’s strike and a brace from Rob Mitchell meant that Charlie Strickland's goal for Devizes was little more than a consolation.

Local rivals Bremhill View and Pack Horse shared four goals and the points as they fought out a 2-2 stalemate.

Max Wyatt and Dave Nolan scored for Pack Horse, while Jamie Crump and Tom Sigee were on target for Bremhill.

Lavis remain third after they defeated Spartak Rudloe 7-2.

Bradley Edwards scored the first two Lavis goals, Jack Booth rifled home a wonder goal, Simon Parfitt added a fourth before Zack Manna stole the show with a hat-trick. Ollie Deane and Josh McCrae replied for Spartak.

Misfits, who are continuing the rebuilding process, welcomed Wednesday Warriors, and although they suffered a 6-1 loss, it will be seen as a victory of sorts as the last time the teams met, Warriors won 9-4.

Callum Hottie top scored for Warriors with a well-taken treble, while Cameron Curtis, Noah Millard and Stuart Green also netted. Ben Thomas claimed Misfits’ consolation.
