Firebrands A 3 Devizes 0.
Devizes suffered their first defeat of the season to a rampant Firebrands outfit and left manager Andrew Smart expecting a reaction.
They host Robinsons in Premier Two on Saturday before an EHA Trophy game at Truro on Sunday and are looking to rediscover their form.
"We lost the ball in silly areas, were unable to get an rhythm going and got what we deserved," said Smart.
"I suspect the players have been guilty of taking things too lightly recently and that stops now.
"We have two big games at the weekend where we have to, and will do, recover."
The visitors had the best of the opening stages on Saturday, with Neil Powell shooting narrowly wide.
But Firebrands recovered and put Devizes under pressure as Smart's side were unable to keep up with the pace, with the hosts easily dealing with any attacks.
With ten minutes of the first half left, Firebrands took the lead after Devizes failed to deal with a break away.
Firebrands doubled their lead from a short corner after half time and went further ahead when keeper John Rheinberg conceded a penalty flick.
It was to get worse for Devizes when a frustrated Sam Gaiger was sin binned for dissent.
The Moonraker men tried to get back into the game, but to little effect.
