Division Four
Corsham Centre B are the new leaders of division four after they beat Steeple Ashton Rangers 5-0.
The Centre started very well with some great football keeping the ball well.
It wasn't long before Warren Jones found himself in on goal and he fired under Ashton's keeper Ashley Ellis to give Centre an early and well deserved lead. Throughout the first half Ashton struggled to find any sort of form and when Centre had a breakaway it ended up with a great run and finish from Tom Lye who made it 2-0.
Centres third goal came out of nowhere. A cross came in which saw Ellis spill the ball to the feet of Warren Jones who crashed home his second off the bar from close range. In the second half Ashton were able to create a few half chances but could still not mount a serious challenge on the Centre goal.
Centre's substitute Tom Laver then got on the score sheet after he controlled well and his dipping shot on the half volley fell into the bottom corner.
It was Laver again who created the fifth when he squared the ball to Daniel King who had enough time and space to stroke the ball into the bottom corner to seal the win which took Centre to the summit.
Somerford and Riverside Renegades were involved in a 12 goal thriller which Riverside edged 7-5, Wayne Burry's double had given Somerford a two goal advantage which was wiped by goals from Darren Clarke who put through his own goal to reduce the arrears and Ashley Styles who drew Riverside level.
Lance Davis put Riverside into the lead but topsy-turvey encounter was all square again when Scott Hatton equalised for Somerford, and they took a 4-3 lead thanks to Gary Mitchell but once again Riverside hit back with Joe Taylor making it four each.
A second from Taylor put River side in front, Lance Davis second of the game gave Riverside a two goal cushion, but Somerford stormed back into the game again with Alex Braithwaite narrowing the gap to the odd goal.
Somerford pushed players forward looking for an equaliser but they were unable to find it and Riverside made the amazing match safe when Ashley Styles towering header finished the scoring to give them an incredible 7-5 victory.
Chippenham United RAOB might have forgotten how to win but they defiantly know how to draw matches, United can't seem to buy a win but you wouldn't bet against them getting a point from any of their matches this season after their 1-1 draw against local rivals Three Crowns United was their fourth stalemate from six matches.
Alan Newman scored a debut goal for the Three Crown's after good work from Paul Maddox.
Eddie Baldwin netted United's equaliser and had it not been for Alan Davis in the Three Crown's goal United might have gone on to claim both points especially after Stuart White saw red for a reckless challenge which led to the Three Crowns playing out the final stages with just ten players.
