WILTSHIRE eventer David Doel helped the Great Britain team win a silver medal at the Nations Cup in Strzegom, Poland, last weekend.

Riding Eisfee, owned by Mr and Mrs James from Woodborough, Reybridge Eventing’s Doel and the rest of the GB squad took on seven other European teams over three days, competing in dressage, cross-country and show jumping.

The GB team was down in fifth place after the opening dressage phase, but strong rides from all four team members saw them elevated to the silver medal position behind a strong German team, which included world and Olympic champion Michael Jung.

The Netherlands rounded off the podium by winning bronze.
