Rod Brown's young Saddlebacks held on for a victory over a Wottoon Bassett a side they had never beaten.
Devizes showed their intent from the start with the forwards swarming over their Bassett counter-parts from the first kick.
The Saddlebacks pack lead by Hooker Toby Harper, cleared the ball out from an early ruck and a flash of bravado from centre Remi Digby carved a path through the Bassett defense to put down between the posts.
But his looping run was adjudged to have crossed the dead ball line and the try disallowed.
This only spurred the young saddlebacks to greater heights. shortly after Devizes outside centre Hugh Backhouse combined with Digby to release wing Ollie Emmitt to score .Fly half Joe Burrows took the extra's, the first of his four for the day.
The Devizes pack of Tom Tebbatt, Bertie Haskins, George Potter, George Duffield, Liam Juggins, Laurence Jackson and Charlie Bouch, kept up the pressure with a rolling maul that collapsed over the tryline.
Flanker Jackson found himself at the bottom of the pile of bodies to claim the try.
Within minutes a similar move was held up on the line by Bassett, but the ball was cleared out on the home side, Burrows showing some slick moves to release Full back Ollie Clark to score.
The flowing rugby continued with Emmitt's handling releasing wing James Osborne to score his first try for Devizes.
Bassett steadied their leaky defense for the remainder of the half, but not before a magnificent solo run by Digby cut though to score between the posts, this time for real.
The second half was a completely different game. Being 31 nil down the lads of Wotton Bassett were playing for pride.
They struck back in the first encounters and put seven points on the board. Bassett kept the ball in the rucks and mauls to frustrate the Saddlebacks.
On the rare occasions that the home side back's got the ball, they scored. The first was from a solid passing move that saw the ball swing from one wing to the other wing, with Ollie Emmitt claiming his second.
The Saddleback final try came with some quick thinking from Digby put though replacement wing Will Robinson to go over with a showy dive. Bassett came back in the dying moments to score from an impressive rolling maul.
