Despite managing to lose their way to the match, Chippenham's fourth team made sure that they found their way round the pitch.
But they did have to recover quite rapidly after an early goal from the home side.
Sprinting with speed, Chippenham's Emily Stevens scorer a fine goal after some excellent support play from Laura Kelly. FLo Chapple and midfield player, Geroge Wort. This brought the score level at 1-1 but just on the half-time whistle, Melksham regained the lead at 2-1.
A strong team talk during the break saw the visitors come back out onto the pitch in determined mood. Some excellent attacking play from midfielders, Susannah Baton and George Wort, gave Harriet Beazer the chance to bring Chippenham back into the game and level the scores at 2-2.
Steph Pugh in the Chippenham goal made a couple of fine saves to keep Melksham out, working well with defenders, Katie Robers, Robyn Dobson and Savneet Lochab.
But despite their efforts, Melksham found their way through to snatch victory at the death. Chippenham did not give up and attacked, winning several short corners but the referee's whistle blew for full-time.
