WILTSHIRE golfer Jake Bolton has been selected as part of a six-man team to represent England in the 2019 Costa Ballena octagonal match in Spain.
Ogbourne Downs Bolton has enjoyed a string of high finishes in 2018, with third place in the Italian international, ninth in the Lytham Trophy and fourth in the Welsh Open.
The 20-year-old is joined in the team by Sam Done (Lincolnshire), Harry Goddard (Hertfordshire), Ben Hutchinson (Yorkshire), David Langley (Berkshire) and Joe Long (Gloucestershire).
The match will be played from 22-25 January at Costa Ballena and will be contested by eight countries.
Competing alongside are Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
The match was extended from four to eight countries for the first time in 2018, when England won the bronze medal. Spain are defending champions, with Netherlands having finished as runners-up.
