CALNE Town joint-manager Ben Redford says the club is moving in the right direction after they secured their seventh win of the season.
Saturday was a comfortable outing for the Toolstation League First Division One, who picked up a 3-0 win at home to Wincanton Town.
Rory Worthington got the ball rolling for the hosts with a goal in the opening two minutes before Joe Williamson doubled their advantage less than 15 minutes later.
Calne added a third goal just after the restart for the second half as Shannon Pocock added his name to the scoresheet.
Redford, who manages the team alongside Clive McDaid, said: “The performance was as good as any other we have put in so far this season.
“We created chances, three different players scored, and we looked solid at the back as our goalkeeper only had one save to make all game.
“Everything seems to be going right for us at the minute. We don’t have any injuries and we seem to be scoring at the right time during matches.
“We are hard to break down and as a result, our goalkeeper, Martine Mitchell, and his back four are growing in confidence week in, week out.
“The whole club is going in the right direction at the moment. We are getting more and more people coming to watch our games.
“The players who aren’t making it onto the pitch are still enjoying their Saturdays. There is a really tight bond with the group and it is great to be a part of that.
“The three games we have lost this season have been down to poor decision making and mistakes in the wrong areas.
“We have learnt from that lately and I hope we can continue this run.
"The target still remains the same as it did at the start of the season, we want to finish in the top 10.”
Elsewhere, Corsham Town lost 3-2 at home to Wells City, with Ben Wickens and Josh Bright scoring for the home side.
Jack Hopper stole the show for Devizes Town as his hat-trick fired them to a 5-0 away win over Portishead Town.
Matthew Russell and Robbie Whyte completed the scoring for Darren Walters’ troops.
