WILTSHIRE rider Tommy Bridewell was released by his Halsall Racing team on the eve of the fourth leg of the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton this weekend.
Etchilhampton rider Bridewell had his contract with the Suzuki squad terminated after "recent disagreements'' as practice was taking place at the Norfolk circuit.
Bridewell had managed eighth place finishes at Brands Indy and Oulton Park rounds this season and was just outside the top 10 in the overall standings going into the latest event.
A Halsall Racing statement said: "The Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki squad can today confirm it has terminated its contract with rider Tommy Bridewell.
"The decision follows several weeks of discussions between team and rider, and following a few recent disagreements, the team feels the only way forward is to part company.
"Halsall Racing and Tommy Bridewell have a long relationship dating back to 2013, and we have experienced some of our finest results with him on our machines.
"However, under the current situation we feel that we have no option but to go our separate ways.
"We wish Tommy the very best of luck for the future.''
Bridewell was 18th fastest in practice at Snetterton on Friday prior to the announcement.
