CHIPPENHAM Town got the better of their in-house battle against Chippenham Park to claim a place in the semi-finals of the Wiltshire Senior Cup on Wednesday night following a 3-1 success.
Mark Collier’s National League side actually fell behind to their own reserve team when Jamie Norman fired Park, of the Toolstation League First Division, in front after 20 minutes.
Alex Ferguson levelled on the stroke of half-time and Park were unable to match their first-half exploits after the restart as further goals from Andy Sandell and a second from Ferguson sealed Town’s place in the last four.
Another Toolstation First Division side, Westbury United, were denied the chance to join them in the semi-finals as their trip to Southern League West team Salisbury was postponed.
