CHIPPENHAM maintained their position at the top of Central 1 with a 6-2 win at Mid Somerset.
The hosts kept Chippenham at bay for most of the first period before Mark Knight opened the scoring just before half time.
The visitors quickly added to their score early in the second half when Nick Middleton scored twice, the second an audacious lob over the keeper, before Knight made it 4-0.
The hosts then struck twice to halve the deficit, however, Knight added two more to his tally to seal the win.
Chippenham A had to come from behind to draw against fellow promotion chasers Marlborough A.
The visitors started brightly and were a goal up early on before quickly adding a second.
However, goals from Henry Price and Harry Elias earned the hosts a point.
Goalkeeper Leo Barker put in an outstanding performance as Chippenham B drew 0-0 with Team Bath Buccs E in East Central One.
Nathan Borman hit a second-half winner for Chippenham C as they came from behind to defeat Bath Buccs G 2-1. Neil Stewart struck the other for Chippenham.
Chippenham D battled hard but were unable to prevent Marlborough B running out 4-0 winners.
Corsham ladies firsts shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller at Devizes 2nd.
The hosts struck twice early on before Vickie Hathway pulled one back on the stroke of half-time.
Mel Bessell levelled after the break but Devizes regained their lead.
With time running out Bessell struck again to earn a point.
Sarah Morgan was awarded the player of the match on her debut.
Corsham men put in their best performance of the season but were unable to prevent Bath Buccs running out 8-0 winners.
Royal Wootton Bassett ladies first went top of the East Division following their 4-1 success at Bath Buccs 3rd.
Bassett opened the scoring late in the first period when Emma Collison broke into the Bath half to pick out Abi Iles. However, despite her shot being blocked, Sarah Hall was on hand to fire home the rebound.
Bath levelled after the break following a penalty, however, Collison deflected home Suzanne Coles pass.
Tegan Buchanan made it 3-1 with a well struck shot into the bottom corner before Tracy Fieldsend netted the fourth after Iles’ cross.
