DEVIZES turned in one of their best defensive performances of the season to triumph away at Robinsons and keep in touch with the teams at the top of the Conference North table.
Without first choice right-back James Taylor and coach Ollie Smith, Devizes knew this would be a tough game against their best opposition to date.
Things got even harder after 10 minutes when Tom Alsop had to go off after suffering an injury.
Despite these set-backs, Devizes settled into the game and had a lot of the ball without really creating that many chances as the half ended goalless.
Devizes went into the second half knowing there would likely be only be a goal in it.
After some patient passing, Devizes managed to get the ball to Max Bartholemew, who smashed home from the edge of the D ito get his third goal in four games.
The visitors continued to have a lot of the ball but survived a scare when Roger Edwards was robbed of possession deep in his own half but, fortunately for Devizes, the Robinsons player dragged his shot wide.
John Rhinberg also made a great smothering save to deny Robinsons, while Devizes had several counters thanks to good work from Tom Syndecombe and Tom Taylor.
As the game drew to a close Callum Lavens managed to bundle past two opponents before being the victim of a strong stick tackle when clean through.
Only a short was given rather than the desired flick, however, as the final whistle went just afterwards, any frustration was swiftly forgotten as Devizes knew they had secured the points.
