SOME of the country’s top badminton players gave a demonstration of their skills at Chippenham’s Olympiad on Sunday.
The Exhibition Match day was held as part of Wiltshire’s Badminton Month organised by Badminton Community Network working in partnership with Wiltshire and Swindon Sport.
Ex-Olympian Anthony Clark and Great Britain U18 number one Ross Green were joined by two top England Para-badminton players Dan Bethell, of Corsham Badminton Club, and Bobby Griffin, who will team up in the world championships later this year.
Clark and Green also took on a number of Wiltshire players, including undefeated 13-year-olds Alice Chittenden and Charlie Strickland, veterans John Earney and Graham Long and seniors Alice Walters and Simon Woodhouse.
Volunteers from Devizes, Kingdown and Matravers schools acted as officials on the day.
