Devizes Bowls Club host the Bowls Wiltshire men’s finals, BW mixed finals and BW ladies domestic finals this weekend on their two greens at Long Street.
The host club will be represented early on by Sue Ochyra who meets Pewsey’s Trish Jarrett in the ladies champion of champions final on Saturday 10am.
While alongside in the men’s champion of champions final Corsham’s Paul Beazer faces Town Garden’s Tom Pittuck.
Chippenham Park’s Gerald Tinson has reached two finals. He plays Brian Coles (Wroughton) in the greenkeepers final on Saturday and joins up on Sunday morning (10am) with Roy Delehaye and Martyn Whittaker to meet a trio from Purton in the county men’s over 60s triples final.
Although Jim Dix is the sole Chippenham Town representative in an individual final when he competes against Ashley Plumb (Amesbury) in the men’s unbadged singles on Saturday morning a club team are in action in the afternoon (1.30pm) when they face Amesbury in the BW mixed double rinks final.
Wootton Bassett contest two team and two individual finals.
Maisie and Charlotte Daniell meet Jake Webster and Mike Titcombe in Sunday’s (10am) BW Under 21 pairs final while Sue Reeve and Harold Jones play Holt in the domestic secretary and treasurers final.
Bassett teams are through to Saturday’s final (2pm) in the Ladies Top Ten against holders Box while on Sunday (2.30pm) the men bid to win the Wiltshire Men’s Four Rink League title for a third time when they meet Holt in the final, who won the competition for the only time in 2012.
