CHIPPENHAM Town manager Mark Collier has bolstered his side's firepower by bringing two strikers to Hardenhuish Park.

The Bluebirds have snapped up a former FA Cup tormenter with the signing of 34-year-old ex-Gloucester City frontman Darren Edwards whilst also brigning in former Bolton Wanderers trainee George Pawley.

Edwards, who has also previously featured for Bath City and Mangotsfield United, scored an injury-time winner as Gloucester knocked Chippenham out of the FA Cup in a fourth qualifying round clash in October 2012, with the striker that day playing alongside current Bluebirds defender Matt Coupe.

Edwards has made three appearances for Cadbury Heath this season and will be cup-tied in the FA Cup after featuring in the Toolstation League side's extra preliminary round clash with Cribbs last weekend.

Meanwhile, fellow forward Pawley previously had a spell with the Bluebirds' near neighbours Frome Town and spent pre-season with Bradford Town.

Collier's men travel to Cambridgeshire tomorrow to take on Histon in the Southern League Premier Division before hosting promoted Somerset outfit Paulton Rovers on Bank Holiday Monday (kick-off 3pm).
