TREVOR Rawlings was delighted to see his Corsham Town side hit the ground running as they kicked off the new season with a comfortable win at Oldland Abbotonians last weekend.
Nick Holton, Aaron Ledgister and Ryan Tyrell all found the net to get Corsham’s Toolstation League First Division campaign off to the perfect start in South Gloucestershire.
“They were quite a physical side and we didn’t really get going in the first half until we scored - in the second half, it was all one-way traffic,” said Rawlings.
“We wanted to hit the ground running and that’s exactly what we did, which is great.
“We could have scored a lot more than we did but we kept a clean sheet and they did everything that we would have wanted from them.”
