INONOTHING, the horse that won the 2010 Badminton Horse Trials with Highworth-based Australian Paul Tapner has been retired.

The horse, known as Mannie, was owned by Jenny Waaler and has lived most of his life at Tapner's Wickstead Farm base.

Inonothing amassed a career total of 1625 BE points, making him the 17th highest point scoring horse of all time.

As well as his Badminton triumph, he also claimed fifth place at Pau and seventh and 10th at Luhmuhlen as well as top-10 finishes at the Burghley Horse Trials.

Inonothing was also a reserve horse for the Australian team for the 2008 Olympics and represented Australia in 2010 at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky where he severely fractured his stifle joint.

He returned to the top level of the sport in 2012 with a 10th place at Luhmuhlen.

Inonothing will appear at this year's Badminton Horse Trials on Monday for an official retirement ceremony, alongside Headley Britannia, the horse ridden to victory at Badminton in 2007 by Little Cheverell-based Australian international Lucinda Fredericks.
