Radford–Davies
Friends and family came from as far afield as Texas for the wedding of Simon Radford and Madeleine Davies at St John’s Parish Church, Devizes, on Saturday, April 29.
The rain held off but the bride was shivering as she waited at the west door so her father gallantly gave her his suit jacket, which they just managed to remove as the door swung open.
The service was a mixture of traditional hymns and more modern songs while the couple signed the register.
The address by the Rev Jon March was based on the acronym PUNS, as Simon is particularly fond of this form of humour. Madeleine may grow to love them in time…
The reception was held at the Town Hall and the couple would like to thank family and friends, and all the staff together with their caterer, florist and photographer for making it such a perfect occasion.
Simon and Madeleine spent the rest of the weekend in Bath, but will honeymoon somewhere where hopefully she won’t need her father’s jacket – Texas!
