THOUSANDS of fans crammed into the Oasis Leisure Centre last night for a taste of the Sugababes.
The petite trio Amelle, Heidi and Keisha belted out hit after hit including Round Round, Freak Like Me, Red Dress and Taller in More Ways.
But before the threesome met the 2,000-strong crowd the audience was left to double take as three look-alikes began strutting across the stage.
The jumpsuit-clad clones energetically threw themselves into their performance as they raised a silk curtain to reveal the genuine trio.
Dressed in different coloured puffball dresses - Keisha in red, Heidi, in blue, and Amelle in green - the girls burst onto stage belting out Hole in the Head followed by Round Round.
Fan Daisy Payne, 16, travelled from Chippenham to see the gig and was blown away by the performance.
"It was really amazing," she said. "I didn't know what to expect from them but they were better than I think I had imagined they would be.
"I was really impressed. If they ever came back to Swindon I would definitely see them again."
Each song brought with it another inspired costume change from glitter ball skirts and jackets to shiny cellophane-like puff-ball skirts.
The younger audience members were not left disappointed as the Babes sang track after track from their latest album including Denial and Never Gonna Dance Again.
The performance did not disappoint, with elaborate outfits appearing with each song.
The girls all donned kimono-like robes covered in petals and autumn leaves for their chart hit Change, inviting the audience to join in as they released plumes of petals into the crowd.
"I loved the costumes," said 16-year-old Mary Brodie, also from Chippenham.
"It was amazing how they changed their dresses with the songs and it was all really seamless too, quite smooth.
"They whole thing was really fun. I am not a huge fan but I think they were amazing live."
Madeleine Gardner, 16, a student, from Chippenham, said: "I got the tickets as a Christmas present and it's turned out to be a really great one.
"They were fantastic and they costumes were amazing and colourful."
The gig marked a special occasion for singer Amelle who celebrated her 24th birthday yesterday.
Swindon fans burst into a chorus of Happy Birthday as Heidi and Keisha presented Amelle with a candle-topped birthday cake.
"Thank you, thank you so much." She said beaming at the crowd.
