Burbage father-of-two Karl Preuss, 59, died after his motorcycle was involved in a three vehicle collision in Wales on Saturday.
Mr Preuss, of Taskers Lane, Burbage, was riding on the A40 about two miles south of Llandovery in Carmarthenshire at the time of the tragedy.
Dyfed-Powys police issued an appeal for witnesses following the collision at about 5pm Saturday which involved the motorbike, a car and a Transit camper-van.
Police confirmed this afternoon that the deceased was Karl Preuss, who leaves a wife and two grown-up children.
An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
A police spokeswoman said: “Meanwhile investigations into the cause of the collision continue and anyone who has information is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys police.”
