North Wiltshire MP James Gray will be helping a Christian Malford pre-school mark playweek next month.
Mr Gray will join parents and youngsters at Acorns Pre-School as part of the Pre-School Learning Alliance's Playweek event on Friday, June 15.
The special event is being held for families and the local community to celebrate learning through play and all things early years.
Between and 10am and noon the pre-school will be throwing open its doors and inviting children, families and the local community to enjoy fun activities and find out more about early years services in the area.
Parents will also get the chance to find out about practical advice and support available to them locally, including information about financial entitlements.
There will also be lots of opportunities for children, including messy play, games and even a teddy bears’ picnic.
Pre-School manager Paula Jenkins said: "We are really looking forward to holding our Playweek event and welcoming children and families from the local community."
Mr Gray said: "I am delighted to have been invited to attend this wonderful event. Early years services such as Acorns Pre-school, Christian Malford, are a vital part of the local community and they provide a great deal of support for young children and their families."
Playweek is the Pre-school Learning Alliance’s annual celebration of pre-schools and early years.
During Playweek thousands of Alliance members throughout England will be holding events which highlight the fundamental importance of play for children’s learning and development – an ethos the Alliance has championed for over 40 years.
