A group of military kitesurfers raised thousands for charity in their Kite 4 Heroes event.
A cheque presentation took place in Corsham on Monday.
In the tri-service kitesurfing charity event three military teams raced across the English Channel from Alderney to Poole to raise money for the charity in September.
The teams found the event challenging, having to deal with equipment failure and managing the safe navigation of shipping lanes. They completed the 70 nautical mile race in seven and a half hours.
The Royal Navy and Marines team won the race with the Army coming second and the RAF third.
Army warrant officer Darrel Samanjoul, Capt Scully Scullion RM and Flt Lt John Martin RAF, were the team captains.
WO Samanjoul, from Sutton Benger, said: “The event has been a great success. We deliberately set challenging targets for both the crossing and the amount of money to be raised (£9,000).”
