The Sherston 1016 charity, which provides elderly villagers with Christmas vouchers, raised £400 at the 25th Sherston Boules Festival.
A crepe stand proved a big a hit with the many visitors passing through the village, including French guests from Malmesbury’s twin town Gien.
The group also helped organise the annual tug of war on Sunday July 18.
The next fundraising event in the village is the Lobber Jenkins Memorial Boules Tournament at the Rattlebone Inn on Saturday September 4, followed by an autumn book sale in the village hall on Saturday September 25.
Booking a team for the Lobber Jenkins tournament costs £12, contact the Rattlebone Inn on (01666) 840 871 for details.
