The sun shone brightly on John Coles Park in Chippenham at the weekend as thousands gathered for the annual Family Fun Day.
The event, organised by the Round Table, has been a huge success in the town for nearly 20 years, and this year was no exception.
In the lead up to the event, organisers had encouraged local groups including Brownies, Scouts, the Lions Club and sports teams to get involved and show off their talent during Sunday’s packed programme and they didn’t disappoint.
Andrew Baddeley-Chappell, who organised the event, said there was a wide range of traditional children’s entertainment, including Punch and Judy shows, train rides and circus skills demonstrations while music was provided by the Chippenham Town Band.
He added: “It was a fantastic day with another great turn-out. Whilst the focus was on children, we aim to put on an event that the whole family can enjoy. After over 20 years the event continues to evolve but maintain its friendly local spirit.
“Not only that but overall the day helped raise the profile and at least £1,500 for the local good causes represented at the event.”
